Blog about the experiences of Anthony Antal Photography. Talk about photo sessions, wedding days photographed and new ideas I'm trying out with urban chic engagement sessions.
I have known the Wessendarp family for around 11 years now. So they feel pretty comfortable in front of my camera. So far I have photographed 3 couples' weddings within their family . For this session, there is one baby with 2 more on the way. Many of these are "outtakes", but sometimes those are the best ones. One image from last years session where they were just goofing around, ended up enlarged and framed in their home. Sometimes you get the best shots when people let their guard down and just be themselves.
The Tanner family wanted to get a family session since everyone was in town. Two of the couples, Erin & Nick plus Allison & Jason are having their 2011 weddings photographed by Precious Memory Creations. It was very cool to get to know the family better before the weddings. They actually had me laughing most of the time from their sense of humor and how they interact with one another. Some of my favorite ones are of their dog and their daughter sitting together. She had her arm around the dog and the dog wasn't sure what to do.
Lamont & Ebony Hill have been married for 2 years now and never had the opportunity to have any engagement images done. So decided to have a session taken downtown to include the energy of the people and some of the Christmas decor. Little did we know that there was a mid afternoon pub crawl which involved 100 or more people dressed as Santa. Nothing like having to explain to your children why there are 100 drunk Santas wandering around town. LOL!
Again , I find myself slacking on keeping this blog updated. I've been great on keeping everything up to date on Facebook though. Go figure. Well this is a recent engagement session I had with Catherine and Joe. We started out in Devoe Park. The park was near their old apartment, so they had a connection to this park. The leaves were starting to turn vibrant colors which turned out great for the images. They had mentioned they wanted to get something with Cincinnati's bridges. I suggested the Suspension Bridge and I'm glad I did. I normally go to the Purple People Bridge with all the people walking in the background. Well, the suspension bridge was closed for construction, which meant no cars on it. So we were able to actually walk in the middle of it. A first for me. I told them I wish I had some photos of me laying on my back in the middle of the bridge shooting photos.
